Forming Mutually Beneficial Relationships

Watch Her WorkHey Divas and Happy Pre-Thanksgiving! This is the season that many of us take time to spend with family, friends, and reflect on reasons we are thankful; and although we should be doing this all year long, I recently have had quite a few reasons to rejoice!

I have recently formed several mutually beneficial relationships. When I say mutually beneficial, I mean just that! Both parties benefit. I have had previous experiences where I felt like I was giving more to the relationship than the other party. One my girlfriends would always chime, “You go hard for your friends,” and I do …but I have recently found the benefits of people who are going hard for me as well.  I have formed relationships with people who can benefit from me as well as me benefiting from them.

I encourage you today to do your best to form mutually beneficial relationships. This can help you in business by helping you cut costs by costs sharing for items or even exchanging services. For example if you are a vendor and get a discount for buying items in bulk, form a relationship with another vendor who offers similar products and buy your items together. Another example is if you have a hair salon or style hair for a living, form a relationship with a nail tech and exchange services with one another. You benefit from getting your hair done for free and he/she benefits from getting a free manicure.

If you are a Publicist but need a good Accountant, swap services. Remember, one of my themes is, “Swap til You Drop” and this doesn’t just mean in clothes, shoes, and accessories, this means with time, skills, and talents.

Build a team of people where you all can mutually benefit one another and watch your business grow as well as your relationships and friendships with other like-minded people.

Excellent website you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the
same topics discussed in this article? I’d really love to be a part of online community where I can get comments from other experienced
individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions,
please let me know. Bless you!

Hi Naomi. I don’t know of specific blogs, but stay involved in news programs and websites like CNBC. Also, find entrepreneurship groups in your area like StartUp Chicks. If you don’t know of any, form one. Hope this helps!
